About Me

As a New Orleans native, I was initially a reluctant transplant to Central Florida, but the year-round sunshine and beautiful beaches eventually won me over. There’s also something to be said for living above sea level!

Moving from culinary heaven to the land of chain restaurants was a culture shock, but thankfully, Central Florida’s foodie scene has boomed these last few years. When my husband (and fellow foodie) and I aren’t sampling the growing variety of local mom-and-pop spots, we’re creating our own culinary masterpieces at home. This occasionally includes me trying to live out my Great British Baking Show dreams!

We’re the proud parents of two wonderful, bright, creative, and active boys (plus two mischievous cats) who keep me on my toes. When I’m not schlepping the kids to sports and activities, I enjoy gardening, fitness classes, game nights, true crime podcasts, and critiquing questionable choices on home renovation shows.

I’m an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction; be it an e-book, audiobook, or “real” book, I believe reading is a powerful way to keep the mind churning with new ideas and connections. I’m also an active participant in a book club with like-minded women who love exploring new genres, from classics like Moby Dick to graphic novels like Y: The Last Man.

I love to keep learning and experiencing new things—both in my career and in life—whether it’s mastering new skills or software, or even taking a falconry course on vacation. I’m always ready for the next chapter!
